about

Joseph was born in London in the last year of the 70s (that's 1970s). If you want to know a little more of his complicated family background then please feel free to ask him nicely. He discovered pens and brushes at an early age and when his fingers were big enough he played with cameras and Macs too. He couldn't decide on what he liked doing best, so he compromised and did them all.

He likes to draw by hand. He thinks digital cameras are useful... to a point. He cannot draw anatomically correct human figures (this secretly bothers him). He is fascinated by faces. He believes 'accidents' are responsible as the catalyst for some of his best work. No, the devil and angel paintings are not a comment on any kind of religion. He is excited by strong pieces of visual art, not verbal masturbation ejaculated all over them. He is curious why a collection of random lines (ie. abstract art) can retain more significance to someone than a more recognizable image, such as a portrait. He likes understatement. He enjoys subversion, particularly with humour. He thinks the word "genius" is thrown around a little too liberally these days.
